Stefan Karstens

Stefan Karstens (CEO)

In 2010, Stefan Karstens co-founded the interim management company QRelation Management Team GmbH with Stefan Heinsohn. Since November 2014, he has been actively supporting his partner with the further development of QRelation business operations. He is able to make use again of his entrepreneurial characteristics as he did at the beginning of his career.

Stefan Karstens has vast experience as CEO of engineering services providers. He has founded the SKI-Team GmbH (meanwhile Assystem GmbH and part of the European Assystem Group). Thereafter he was managing director of the ELAN-AUSY GmbH (part of the French AUSY Group).

Stefan Karstens’ career in civil aviation began with an apprenticeship with Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm GmbH in Hamburg in 1983.

He subsequently spent three years broadening his experience on an international level as a final assembly line and flight test quality inspector at Airbus in Toulouse, before then returning to Hamburg where he studied at the University for Applied Sciences and successfully graduated as an aircraft construction engineer.

Having already made a name for himself in the aviation market at the time, a number of companies commissioned Stefan Karstens in a consulting role. As a result of the increasing demand, in 1997 he established his own company, SKI-Team GmbH, which provided engineering services to the aviation industry.

In 2004, SKI-Team GmbH was acquired by the French ASSYSTEM group; however, Stefan Karstens continued with his role in engineering services as managing director of Assystem Aerospace Germany GmbH until 2010.

He then went on to manage another engineering services provider, although not exclusively to the aviation industry, in the form of ELAN-AUSY GmbH (a French AUSY group company) until the end of 2014.

Stefan Heinsohn

Stefan Heinsohn (CFO)

In 2010 Stefan Heinsohn founded interim management company QRelation Management Team GmbH together with Stefan Karstens.

As a managing director and partner of the company he is responsible for finance and controlling, HR and legal issues, but also maintains an active senior role as an interim manager for QRelation. He has broad experience and fundamental knowledge in the areas of procurement, logistics, production, finance, marketing and management.

Stefan Heinsohn is able to look back on a 30-year career in civil aviation that has focused primarily on aircraft and engines.

After successfully qualifying as a graduate aviation and aerospace engineer at the University of Stuttgart in 1992, he then gained 5 years of professional experience in the fields of quality and project management at Daimler-Benz Aerospace AG and Airbus Industrie S.A.

Over the following 7 years, MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH benefited from his expertise to date within the scope of various national and international engineering, logistics and aircraft engine leasing projects, which he headed as a team and senior manager.

In 2004, Stefan relocated his professional activities to Hamburg and joined engineering service provider Assystem – a Franco-German company where he was responsible for the operational implementation of corporate goals in the aerospace division in his capacity as COO.

Anthony Cardozo

Anthony Cardozo (Managing Partner)

Anthony Cardozo has broad practical experience in operational and strategic management. In addition to general business operations (products, markets, branches), his specific focus area is engineering management specialising in project management and offshoring management.

On account of his work in global corporations, Anthony Cardozo is accustomed to dealing with European and Asian cultures.

Immediately after graduating as an engineer in aircraft technology in Hamburg in 1997, Anthony Cardozo founded SKI-Team GmbH with other colleagues. SKI-Team GmbH was the first company in Hamburg to offer temporary employment services for the aerospace industry in the engineering field.

He subsequently held the position of Global Business Director and Chief Marketing Officer and was able to build up an impressive range of know-how in a variety of corporate divisions.

Since September 2011, Anthony Cardozo has succeeded in further developing this knowledge for QRelation interim management solutions.

His high level of professionalism is only surpassed by his great versatility.

Frank Glade

Frank Glade (Managing Partner)

Frank Glade has longstanding experience in company formation and strategic management gained in diverse management positions in a variety of areas with various-sized teams, both internally and at customer locations.

He brings this versatility and extensive experience since 2011 into the QRelation interim management team, where he has headed already a variety of national and international projects.

Frank Glade completed his training as an airframe mechanic at Daimler-Benz Aerospace Airbus GmbH in Hamburg in 1987. A fascination for the job and a desire to gain international experience then saw a move to Airbus in Toulouse, where he worked as a skilled technician on a variety of aircraft construction projects. Following his apprenticeship, Frank Glade studied at the University for Applied Sciences in Hamburg and successfully graduated as a production technology engineer in 1997.

In the same year, aerospace engineering services provider SKI-Team GmbH was formed, likewise in Hamburg. In 2004, SKI-Team GmbH was sold to French company, Assystem Group.

Frank Glade continued working at Assystem and built on his experience in technical management positions and also as a team leader and consultant in various business segments until 2011.
